Perry wants to change the Constitution

Why is this news? ObamAA+ wants to destroy it. That is when he isn't totally ignoring it and the courts.
I too would like to see some changes to the constitution, but this post is about Rick and my opinions of what he wants.
His proposed changes;
1. Abolish life time tenure for judges. On the surface, I agree with him, our judiciary has stagnated. We have feral judges and unjust justices who ignore the constitution, make up law rather the interpret it, and generally hang out well past their usefulness. The original system envisioned that a competent congress would impeach judges when they go bad. That happens but rarely. It could be worse, it could be like Kansas where the failed system has never removed a bad judge, and we have too many of them.
2.Congress should have the power to over ride court decisions. Actually, they do, its that unused impeachment thingy. A 2/3 vote is a step down, not a step up. A spine would be an improvement, but Ricks proposal changes the house from a mere majority to a super majority. Congress simply needs to grow a pair, and call crap judges aggravated accessories. As such, the crafters of Roe would be aggravated accessories to mass murder.
3. Scrap the income tax. I could agree with that. The facts are every state that ratified it did so with caveats, federal spending has ballooned, and we now spend 3/4 of the budget on things that are not constitutional.
4. End the direct election of senators. that would mean each state would have to have a competent legislature. California never has. It would also get rid of the life time tenure BS.
5. Require the government to balance the budget every year. families have to, corporations have to, why should the government be allowed to act like money grows on trees? A spending limit amendment is a good idea, with allowance for excess if 2/3 of congress approved. I would add that it would be repealed if 2/3 of the electorate did not also approve. The Constitution begins, "We the People", not "we the states" or even "We the government".
6. A gay marriage ban. I oppose gay marriage. I also find groups like the FLDS to be bad, but I above all believe in freedom of religion. Since Marriage is a religious issue, the states and the feds should STAY OUT OF IT! Marriage should be governed by the respective churches. If muslims want to have thirty wives, let em. If FLDS wants to have them, so be it. If the women want to leave the muslims or the FLDS, then and only then should the government step in to preserve their rights to do so.
7. Abortion should be illegal. I agree completely! Unfortunately, that would drive women to back alley slaughter houses, and many would die as a result. You know what? I support the death penalty for people who kill innocents. If a man shoots a kid on the street, he should be executed. Why would my heart bleed for a mom who just murdered her baby?
