The new Red Dawn

I went to see the New Red Dawn the other night, and it was a pretty good movie. Not as good as the first, but it had its moments.
The writters know little of military tactics. The scenario had North Korean troops jumping on Spokane in the early morning hours. Sould like a good idea? Thats a very bad one. paratroopers are called skeet for a reason, when they are coming down, they are easy targets. Thats why you jump close and assault in. And during the day? makes shooting them too darn easy.
I almost walked out at the start, The had advertisements for ObamAA-, cankles and Joe Braindead, enough to make a grown man vomit. About fifteen seconds, seemed like an hours. I guess the message, for me at least, is looks who's to blame for this!
The original Red Dawn had a scene where one of the rookies shot a deer and drank the blood at the urging of Jed. Repeat! but with a twist. They asked him how it tasted, then fessed up that they weren't that stupid.
Some of you will like it, some detest it. Me? I think its the most patriotic thing to come out of Whack town in decades. Enjoy.
