Lone Survivor

Holy crap, a movie about the military that does not trash our troops! Mark Wahlberg does a superb job in his portrayal of Marcus Luttrell. If you are not familiar with the story, I won't ruin it for you. I have read the book, and done a lot of research on the battle If you want to call it that. Four SEALS against a large band of taliban might be a footnote in some other war. In this foray, it rose to the top because of the heroism we witnessed.
Michael Murphy, Danny Deitz, and Mathew Axelson were killed on the mission. Also killed were eight additional SEALS and eight Army Special Ops soldiers who were part of a fast reaction team.
As usual, Hollywood takes artistic license to add dramatic effect, but it is a close portrayal of what happened.
This is no Lions for Lambs. Go see it.
