In the days leading up to Utahs next execution by firng squad, experts on the death penalty are debating its merits. Well, if that is the case, I say great! require the legislatures in all states to set firng squad as the alternative method of execution. The Supreme Court ruled in 1870 that shooting was not cruel or inhumane, so lets use it!
Ronnie Lee Gardner is scheduled to meet his reward for the crimes he comitted. Too bad it has taken twenty five years to get justice. Granted his victim was a liar err lawyer, but its entirely possible he murdered the only honest lawyer in Utah.
IMHO the only argument he has left is that 25 years on death row ammounts to torture. For that, I say strap his lawyer to him for the execution.
