Kasandra Perkins was murdered yesterday by her thug boyfriend, and NFL line backer Jovan Belcher. I enjoy football, I make no excuse for that. I have a low opinion though of many of todays players. Men who are supposed to be role models, and well paid ones at that conduct themselves like thugs both on and off the field.
Its time we the fans demanded better conduct from these people. With the likes of Mike Prick err Vic, the NFL is no longer a group we would want our children to look up to.
On field they are no better as witnessed by the evil deeds of Suh, the Detroit Lions defensive tackle who has kicked Matt Schaub and stomped Evan Deitrich Smith of Green Bay. Its all about winning for the owners instead of being icons for the community. Thats why people like Suh, and Belcher are tollerated as they act like thugs back on the block instead of highly paid professionals.
The NFL need to clean up its ranks. Guys who are bad boys in college should not be allowed to even apply, and serious infractions should get them a ticket back to Burger King.

Serious infractions such as the two examples you've cited that would lead to being charged with battery off the field should also lead to charges when they occur on the field. Laws don't cease to apply at stadium doors. If a couple of state troopers walk out on the field cuff these thugs and haul them off directly to the gray bar hotel after a couple of incidents I bet the NFL would start policing itself properly. It's getting to the point where NHL hockey is less violent than NFL football.
Because of the large amounts of money involved, I don't see the NFL ever changing anything. It will eventually have teams doing the same crap as seen in Rollerball of the movie Soylent Green--if I remember correctly from so long ago. Remember, that a huge majority of wimmen in this country voted for the n-word because he loved abortion and for no other reason. Our society is rotting to the core.
I guess Bob Costas decided to publicly display his ignorance the other day during the half time break during a game.
Belcher could have just as easily beaten his wife to death with a football helmet, so I'm left wondering if Bob thinks football should be illegal too.
My guess is that steroid abuse is the root cause of this catastrophy, but we'll never know since using steroids has become a profitable and accepted way of life within the parts of the sports culture in our society.

Last night on NBC Bob Costas transformed the tragic murder suicide involving a player for the Kansas City Chiefs into a political rant for gun control. “If Jovan Belcher didn’t possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.” LIKE if you agree Costas is an idiot.
^ Like...Like, like a thousand times
Beat her to death with a helmet? he could more easily have stabbed her with a stick forom the fire place, or belted her with a broom handle, or even doused her with boiling water and killed her in a horrible way.
She is dead because he was a thug.
In my mind I can come up with a thousand punishments for him. What GOD is doing to him for eternity is a thousand times worse.
