My cat is dirty and needs a bath. So I am going to get some sedative pills to give to it. Enough that it is almost asleep....Ya, that'll work.

Get a milk crate instead and an old oven rack. make the rack into a door on the crate. You can safely hose the animal down then in your tub or out in the yard. I have a long haired tom who does a poor job of cleaning himself. I got clawed but good the first time I gave him a bath, and he was a tiny kitten then.
