it looks as though we just got probed. A report was xalled in to the USCG reporting that a yacht had exploded off the coast of New Jersey, had sunk, and there were multiple injuries. After hours of searching, the Coast Guard is ready to call this a hoax. Count on them to not give up the search until they are sure. They have confirmed that the Yacht in question, Blind date, and Blind date II are both fine. Another yacht by that name exists in the Netherlands, no word on it, but some how I don't see it sailing arround Jersey.
My suspicion is this was a probe by some one, or a distraction. resources to deal with a situation like this are limited. Did they stretch the limit? I don't know. Its hard to imagine that kind of response force sitting arround all the time. People would have been called in from surrounding areas, and that might have created a hole in the wall so to speak.
Drugs? I doubt it, too far north, a drug runner would have been spotted, and in any case, this was a one shot deal. Don't expect it to happen again, and them get away with it. my concern would be an insertion by a hostile force. With a call like that, a lot of boats would join a search, and it would be easy for a foreign vessel to join those returning to port, and just slide in.
Such a manuver could also be used to determine how much we slide people as we respond to such an incident. That information would help when an insertion is made, if it did not appen today.
There are presently arround 190 countries in the world. About 180 of them are not our friends. Only a few lack the brains and possess the balls to try an attack. its not actually gonads though, its a misplaced belief that the arabian moon god allah, pronounced A Lie, is real.
New york may be facing a bad summer, lets hope not.
Lets hope it was just a test probe. Lets hope the response was so good it scared them away. Sure, New York is a liberal hell hole, but its still ours.
I'm sure she's taken, men
