They torched the house
Every word uttered by every cop in America is recorded by some one some where, or so it seems. Heck, even their off duty remarks seem to turn up, so it is mind boggling to me that the Sheriff's department is claiming that they did not intentionally set fire to the cabin Dorner was in.
One part of me supports what they did, it seems reasonable to burn him out rather then risk officers to go in and get him. But what about when the guy inside is not guilty, and the cops are either rouge, or acting on bad info from a source with malice in mind? We need to get this straight before the next rambro takes center stage. Right now police have too much protection from bad deeds they perform while on duty, and in some cases, off duty. Before we condone this action, lets set the stage straight so the police cannot kill at will as ObamAA- thinks he has license to.

I agree. Also, they could have just waited him out. Set up a seige of sorts. Will burning someones house down around them become the norm for this country? I am sick of the abusive power that cops have been given too. I read most of this guys manifesto and I believe he definitely had reasons to be very angry..I sort of feel sorry for the guy.
Waiting him out is what they should have done. Turn off the heat and water and he would not have lasted long. They killed him so he could not testify in a court of law. The attempted murder of the two old women delivering papers was the first sign that the cops had kill on sight orders. Not what is supposed to happen in a nation of laws.
Story I heard today says they also shot up a truck containing an Army Captain and another person. No warning, just boom. In that case no one got hurt.
Trigger happy? Nah.
Back in the '90's I had a discussion with the attorney for the company I worked for at the time which for some reason, that I don't remember today, segued into discussing police abusing the rights of citizens. That attorney pointed out that the police are the nations largest and most heavily armed gang. Certainly looks that way.
Spartacus, I agree strongly. Thats why we the People need to be as well armed, and not trust every tihng the cops tell us. I've sat too many times and watched cops lie their asses off in court.
