John Hudson at the Atlantic Wire has a screed up claiming that the 787 billion porkulus failed because it was too small. He tells how some think a bigger 1.8 trillion package proposed by Christina Romer was the ticket.
While John does not come right out and say we should have done it, the fact he even reports on it indicated he is as crazy as the rest of em.
We would have fared far better if we had done nothing. What they did is the economic equivelent of blood letting in the 1700, the proceedure that killed George Washington.
Governments the world over need to get over bailout mantality. Just because you can rob a richman and give the money to a fool does not mean you are helping the fool. Let fools fail. Let Greece, Portugal, Illinois and California collapse into their respective dung heaps. Let them be a monument to stupidity all o ntheir own.
