My its hard to raise a daughter

Little Willie mean as hell
Pushed his sister down a well
Mother said, while drawing water,
"My its hard to raise a daughter"

By now I'm sure you have heard of Tommy Jordan, from Stanly County NC, The man who wasted eight rounds of 45 ACP on his daughters lap top. I say wasted because he could have done the same with a .22 rim fire. Sure it wouldn't have created those nifty holes... OK, I would have used the 45 as well.
Today good parents must combat not only the urges of their children, but the media and no good do gooders to raise a child right. No one wants parents to be successful. Parents get only a few hours of influence on their children every day. Most of their time is spent with friends and at school. No wonder they are a mess. Most of what kids get today is counter culture. If you are attempting to raise your kids to be Christians or conservative, you are fighting a tough battle. Most of what comes out of the schools is decidedly anti Christian, liberal progressive, hell its communist bull shit.
The Police in Stanley County have fielded calls demanding that Tom be investigated. He has been hounded by the press as well. All he want is for his kid to respect authority, whether that be her parents, teachers, police, or whom ever. It all starts with respecting the parents. Teachers should respect the parents as well. its parents who pay their wages, and the children ultimately belong to the parents not to the teachers, the school, the state or any one else.
Tom, I know you aint happy. Somewhere some one printed that you wished you hadn't had the cigarette, had cleaned your boots, and worn a better hat, but to be honest you did it right, you were you, not some made up person. Smart folks respect you. The rest probably don't even respect themselves.

She's still there, the water kilt her
Now when we drink we use a filter.

Poor parenting can be the death of a child. Look at all the ones who fall through the cracks in inner city hell holes, whether they be LA, Chicago, or Kansas City. When a parent isn't willing to be the parent, the child loses. We need more Tommy Jordans. Our kids especially need them.
